Foo Fighters were invited to join David Bowie for a special concert to celebrate his 50th birthday. Dave and William both played drums on 'Hallo Spaceboy' whilst Nate played Bass and Pat played guitar. Dave then played guitar with David on 'Seven Years In Tibet'.

This was William Goldsmith's last public appearance with other members of Foo Fighters. The following month he would leave the band.
