Guitar on 'Stiff Competition' and 'Something From Nothing'
The band were at the Ed Sullivan Theater for four consecutive days as the musical performers on The Late Show, performing covers of songs that influenced them in recording 'Sonic Highways'. This was the fourth day and the band were joined by Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick for a cover of the their song 'Stiff Competiton', featuring Taylor on lead vocals and Dave on drums. This was followed by a performance of 'Something From Nothing', again featuring Neilsen. 'Stiff Competition' was first broadcast on Thursday, October 16th and 'Something From Nothing' was first broadcast on Friday, October 17th.
