The band were at the Ed Sullivan Theater for four consecutive days as the musical performers on The Late Show, performing covers of songs that influenced them in recording 'Sonic Highways'. This was the second day and the band were joined by Ann and Nancy of Heart for a cover of the their song 'Kick It Out'. The performance was recorded in the afternoon and broadcast later in the evening.
