After Sound City closed its doors in 2011 it later became known as Fairfax Recording and one of the first artists to record there was RDGLDGRN. Before recording the bands' producer had envisioned Dave Grohl drumming on their album and after putting in some calls, Grohl. He first joined them at the studio to record the track ‘I Love Lamp’ and enjoying what the indie rock/hip hop act was doing, asked if they had any more tracks. Over the course of just two days, Grohl recorded drums for their self-titled debut album released in 2013.
