Partway through his Probot recording project, Dave was contacted by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi who was himself putting together a solo project and wanted Grohl to contribute (it was this that gave Dave the basic idea for Probot). Dave headed to a Hollywood studio in mid-2000 to record Drums and vocals for the song ‘Goodbye Lament’, a track which also featured Queen guitarist Brian May.
