Earlier today (October 16) Foo Fighters posted a cryptic image to their social media channels featuring a parrot with Studio 606 as a backdrop. The only text alongside the post was "About to take flight…" with a link to sign up for the band's newsletter.

The parrot in the image seems to be very similar to a species found in Brazilian rainforests as well as featuring the national colours with many fans taking it to be a teaser for rumoured upcoming shows in the country, including a possible free show in the capital, Brasilia.

Just as interesting though was the audio that went along with the image. Whilst a similar cryptic teaser recently featured what sounded like a rehearsal recording of a jam featured in live versions of 'All My Life' this clip sounded far more produced and polished, with fans quickly speculating that this may be the first taste of new Foo Fighters material.

Those thoughts seem to have been quickly proven correct.

A fan on Reddit (ImpressiveTopic) attempted to re-post the clip to their own Facebook page only to be met with a copyright message by the company. Nothing hugely unusual in that but in doing so Facebook and their internal copyright system seems to have revealed the title of the track - 'Asking For A Friend'.

This teaser comes just months after the release of their latest single, 'Today's Song'. When will we hear more of this latest track, and possibly even more new studio material? Stay tuned and definitely sign up for the official Foo Fighters newsletter, it probably won't be too long!
