It’s safe to say that Foo Fighters kept a relatively low-profile during touring for their previous album, ‘But Here We Are’, for obvious reasons. The band were still grieving the loss of Taylor Hawkins and Dave his mother, so TV appearances and other promo appearances were almost non-existent, interviews also off the table.

Four years on though and the band, with new drummer Ilan Rubin, decided that with their latest album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’, they are ready to start looking forward and pivoted back towards a traditional promo cycle with multiple broadcast events and interviews in the first five months of the year.

These events were intertwined with a smattering of regular full-length concerts and so at the (totally natural) 5/12ths point reached, we figured now is a good time to recap all the recordings that have been made available so far, with downloads available where possible.

After a quick semi-private Festival appearance in Mexico for which there are no known full-length recordings Foo Fighters kicked off 2026 proper with a special Hope The Mission x LA Mission benefit show taking place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the event twinning as a birthday party for Dave Grohl.

Two complete videos of the show have been uploaded on Youtube, with a multi-cam edit by faninor and a second single camera source by godieinhell2, which you can watch below:

Ten days later the band were in Australia for a special one-off show promoting future events in Tasmania with a full-length set captured by King's Concert Experience from the front row for a true “like you were” experience.

Closing out January the band made their first media appearance with a special set celebrating Mariah Carey at the Musicares Person of the Year. The band were joined by Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless on lead vocals but unfortunately as with most past POTY awards, they were not shown in full anywhere. The only recording available is a short clip which was sent to media and posted to the band’s social media.

February 19th saw the bands first traditional TV show appearance in two and half years with a performance of ‘Your Favorite Toy’ on The Graham Norton show in the UK. The performance was uploaded to YouTube for everyone around the world to see, but if you want something a little higher quality you can download an HDTV capture, including a short interview with Dave, here.

Three days later the band were captured for another overseas TV show, cramming all six Foo Fighters into the tiny St James’ Church in the equally tiny town of Dingle in Ireland for a very special episode of Other Voices. Whilst titbits of information soon surfaced online about the set we had to wait until April 6th until we were able to see it, including the first performance of the track 'A320' in 27 years.

The full 53-minute episode (but partial set, three songs cut) can still be seen worldwide on the RTE website and a version combining that video and higher quality audio from an HDTV broadcast can be found here.

That same week in February the band announced at short notice a series of three concerts across Ireland and the UK, with one in Dublin, London and Manchester. Unfortunately, no complete recordings have currently surfaced for these shows, with only clips of varying lengths to be found on YouTube.

Live from….London, it was Saturday Night Live at the end of April as the band made their first appearance on the newly launched UK edition of the long-running TV show. You can watch videos of both songs performed via official YouTube uploads - ‘Caught In The Echo’ and ‘Child Actor’.

Dave Grohl also featured in a plane-based sketch alongside the cast and host Nicola Coughlan, which you can see as well as higher quality versions of the performances on various streaming platforms worldwide, such as Amazon Prime, NOW TV and HBO MAX . We’ve found the Amazon version to be the best quality but unfortunately, we can’t share any captures of that version here.

April 28 saw the band performing a show at Bridgeport’s Total Mortgage Arena, Connecticut. This was a presumed make-up event following their cancellation of a headline performance at Soundside Music Festival in the state in September 2024.

Thanks to YouTube user LiveConcerts85 you can relive this concert in full with a solid video shot from the back of the arena.

Next up were two more “surprise” pop-up shows on the east coast, with a visit to Irving Plaza in New York first up on April 30th. A good complete audio recording is available for this one, shared to date only as an audio-only YouTube video by Ghost Video.

Two days later Foo Fighters took to the stage at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey and we have a couple of full recordings for this one. First, JC Productions captured a complete audio source which you can download here or if you want to see the show from the front row, DannyPaps94 shared a complete video on YouTube.

One more TV appearance came in early May as Foo Fighters were musical guests on The Late Show. The band has of course appeared on the show multiple times whilst it was hosted by David Letterman, but this was their first time with host Stephen Colbert. Unfortunately, it would also be their last, as before their appearance it had been confirmed that the show would be ending entirely just a couple of weeks later.

To celebrate the show and their history the band performed a medley of ‘This Is a Call’ and ‘Everlong, respectively the first and last songs they had played for Letterman. That video was later uploaded to YouTube and the CBS website, as was a special web exclusive performance of ‘Window’ and an extended interview between Colbert and Dave Grohl. On the TV Broadcast itself the band performed ‘Caught In The Echo', and an edited version of the interview was also shown.

A video combining everything from the CBS website can be downloaded from here, whilst a HDTV recording (at a higher framerate) of just the broadcast portion can be found here. This capture has been re-encoded by a PVR however, so if you have a raw 1080i capture please get in touch.

May 14th saw release of Foo Fighters first ever appearance on the popular NPR web series, Tiny Desk. Pre-recorded on April 27th, you can watch the full five song set on the NPR website or on YouTube. A download of the NPR version can be grabbed here, or watch it on YouTube below

May 2026 was concluded with a couple of festival appearances and whilst we’ve not seen any complete recordings of their set at Welcome To Rockville in Florida we do have a complete audience audio recording of their headline performance at Bottlerock Napa Valley, courtesy of taper fried_morals. You can find that here or on Dimeadozen (registration required).
