Foo Fighters will be heading to the Corona Capital Festival this week with a headlining appearance in Mexico City as well as a warm-up "session" event in Monterrey both scheduled. If you are in Mexico but aren't able to head there in person then fear not, you'll be able to catch all the action online, live.
Past years of the Corona Capital Festival have seen live broadcasts on various platforms with Foo Fighters set at the festival in 2017 partially streamed on YouTube but this year the rights have gone to OTT streaming service Vix.com. The service offers free streams of a range of content including live sports, TV series and music concerts, mostly in Spanish language.
Unfortunately whilst the wider VIX.com platform is available across the United States these streams appear to be exclusive to those residing in Mexico only. At least, we can confirm they weren't available to US locations although they may be available in other Hispanic American countries. Let us know if you're able to watch and where you are.
Whilst officially the streams are geoblocked to the rest of the world the tech savvy among us will know there are ways around these geoblocks, many VPNs offering Mexican server locations. Do beware of any supposed "free" service claiming to offer these services however, many of these will do the opposite of keeping your data private and may not even be anonymous enough to fully disguise your true location. We suggest sticking to the well-known and trusted names in the VPN world.
